I agree with all the complaints above! We had our first experience with SU in March of 2011 in Chicago. We were promised a photo shoot, Woobies, and a CD to build my daughter's portfolio... We were told it was going to be shot in a beautiful downtown hotel, the Felix... WEll, the day before we got a text saying location changed...to a lil dungy room on Grand Ave. My daughter just turned 4. Her father was told by Lisa Blackman to leave even tho he paid for the shoot due to not enough room. Needless to say, my daughter was promised to be in the "may 2011" magazine, then june, then august, then sept, then DEFINITELY december... Well, she FINALLY wAS in their magaizine in March 2012 - TWELVE months later! Needless to say, the photos were useless, she didn't even look like she does now!
Then we did October 2011 runway show. We were skeptical but got caught up in the hype. We were told our $550 was going to benefit Make a Wish Foundation, so that sealed the deal and we did it! Again, location changed last minute from house of blues to Excalibur.. We were all stuffed in the ATTIC of Excalibur, ALL the moms were told they had to leave their DAUGHTERs and leave the club and ocme back at show time - i refused! Again, NO mention of the charity once the show started, no celebrities as promised except for a Jersey Shore Kid and a suitcase opener from the game show Deal or NO Deal (hardly celebrities in my book).
To date, no photos from that shoot have been published and we're going on 8 months now. After bugging and harassing SU staff, I was mailed both CDS from both photo shoots totally unedited and useless...and come to find out NONE OF THE MONEY WENT TO THE CHARITY AS PROMISED!!!
